The How is simply our mission of seeing every man, woman, and child having repeated opportunities to hear, see, and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ may seem like it’s too big to really grasp in your mind. Perhaps this will help bring it closer to home for you.
This is a map of a local neighborhood. The black circled house is one family that attends a local church. The pink circles are families that do not attend a church, who are in relationship with the churched family. Clearly one family is unable to reach every man, woman, and child in their neighborhood.
This is the same neighborhood. Now you can see all of the families that attend several local churches (black circles). You can also see all of the relationships the greater Body of Christ has with the unchurched families (pink circles).
If the church-attending families worked together, you can easily see how every man, woman, and child in the neighborhood can be in relationship with someone who is following Jesus. Opportunities to pray for neighbors, get to know them, and find ways to serve them will abound. Through that, over time, the unchurched families will have repeated opportunities to hear, see, and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In an effort to equip the saints for the work of ministry, we have put together a video training series for people to go through with other believers from other congregations.
